Still haven't had the chance to practice yet. We've missed so many that we will not be attending empires on their tour this winter. I get my drivers license back Tuesday Dec 7th so that i may start driving back and fourth to rapid so that the band can continue on were we left off. The last time I was in the same room with these three amazing people was the day after the show. Since then we've been receiving numerous show invites, but sadly had to decline all of them. :( This Sunday well begin practicing again and getting back into the swing of things. This Monday Dec 6th, 2010 for anyone thats interested(i doubt it) @7:30 @VFW Hall (420) main RC,SD  our friends in Empires, Magrathea, Women is Earth will be playing a show with touring acts such as; Shal Hului, Hundredth, Counterparts,

The bands taking a break for two weeks, seeing as all of us have things going on in the weeks to come, I thought I would take time to talk about a project all of us are going to be involved in probably this summer or next fall. Nic Montgomery and Joe Shoemaker are in charge of a project entitled Tower of Nihasa. Nic and Joe write the songs, and have different artist come in and record them. They have about three cds out now. I got asked to play on it last fall, Joe approached me after a show and pitched me the idea and I was more than happy to be involved. This next album is going to the projects greatest yet. He has people from all over, coming to record. Examples would be both vocalists from Clinging To The Trees of a Forest Fire (Denver) and Black Sleep of Kali (Minneapolis), plus locals Each song will not contain the same people. Several guitarists, bassists, vocalists and drummer will record on the album. Once everything is finished, we'll perform the album at the cd's release show with everyone. Joe was thinking possibly having it in Denver?

The album will be entitled "The Careless Birth Giver". The concept behind the album is the birth of a universe. The begining of a universe starts with stars, magnesium, benstract cicilium, hydrogen, ect.. are needed to compose a star, so the album will start of soft, light and melodic. Then iron and lead are also needed to compose a start, so then the album will get heavier and darker. You will hear the album progress from light to dark throughout the birth of a universe on the cd.

Ernie show, Winter tour

Last saturdays show at Ernies was AWESOME. Lots of people showed up to see us. We sold alot of copies of the cd, about everyone who showed up for us bought one. Later that night, at the after party, we started to talk with some friends of ours in Empires (rapid city punk/hardcore band) they were talking to us about their up coming winter tour and that they'd like us to join them on a small leg of it this winter break. Thus far the bands progress is going wonderfully. Cant wait to see what the future holds for this band.

I havent posted anything last week cause we havent practiced for a few weeks. Yesterday I arrived in rapid at ten in the morning and got home about eight thirty that night. The day consisted of alot of practicing, goofing around and having fun. We are making sixty copies of the single which will be for sale at the show this saturday, there all limited edition pressings. FREE show this weekend at Ernie Novembers in Rapid City. Doors open at eight. Two bands, Primordial Flame and Obsession In Suns. All instrumental. There has been alot of hype about the show, people have been talking and wondering what each of us have been up to since our previous bands. There excited and curious to see if we can pull this off. I can't wait for this saturday.

Today I thought that I should discuss how the band got together. Nic and Laura used to be in an amazing progressive metal band called Anamosa. Those guys definitely had the potential to go places with their music. After those guys split up, Nic and Laura started to do an acoustic project with a friend of mine by the name of Blaine W. on drums. That only lasted a few months to my knowledge. Nic continued to record bands in his studio but got board with it and wanted to start another band. Nic began recording so that he would be able to record his own music/band. He began to record a friends band and then kept getting referrals until it basically became his second job. Gabe got introduced to Nic at a show and began to talk and found similar interests in music. Both of them were aware of eachothers previous bands and thought it would be cool to start collaborating and writing together. They had a few drummer in mind that they wanted to come play for them but most of them didnt have what they were looking for. I had met Nic a week prior to him calling me up to come play for them at my last bands farewell show. Nic got my number from a friend and I was driven down to Rapid that afternoon after he'd called. The first pracitce consisted of Gabe and Nic on guitar, Laura on keys and myself on drums in Nics basment one sunday afternoon and the rest is history.

I'm finding it harder to think of things to post on here. There hasn't really been anything going on recently that is blog worthy? Were currently mixing the album, should be done here soon. We will have copies up for purchase at the November 30th show in rapid. Were currently trying to get a Chicago based black metal band (whose name escapes me at the moment) on the line up for the show. hope to see you there.
